Where can I get security bars for the insides of my windows
My windows slide from side to side horizontally, and l need to stick some
bars in them that will stop them from sliding. Any stores sell these that
l can go pick them up?
I assume your worried about someone breaking in but remember
that if you had to excape in case of fire you would want ot get out
ASAP.So your best bet is any piece of pipe cut to size and placed in the
bottom track. If you are never going to open them you could use a screw in
the upper and lower track.
I've always cut a piece of wood to fit there. Go to any place
that sells lumber. I always rip the pieces I need on a tablesaw, but if
you don't have that, look for molding and pre-cut trim about the right
size or a little smaller, and cut to length.
Most people, when they think of security bars, are thinking of welded
steel bars, kind of like jail bars, that are bolted into or over the window openings. That is not what you really mean here. Get some sticks of wood.
to fit the size the best way is have them done custom
look Yellow p. some like bars will come and install for you
